What is Front-end?
Published
Also known as: interface, frontend.
Think of a restaurant. The front-end is the dining room: the tables, the menu, the waiter who writes down your order. It’s everything the customer sees.
An app can be front-end only, like a calculator that does the math on your own device. When it needs to store information for several devices or several people, the back-end comes in.
Because the front-end runs in the browser, anyone can see its code. That’s why passwords and secret keys should never be kept there.
