A free guide for beginners
Build your first app with AI, even if you can’t code
A guide for people who have never written a line of code and want to turn an idea into an app by talking to an artificial intelligence.
What is vibecoding?
The term caught on among programmers, but the idea works for anyone: instead of learning a programming language first, you start with what you want to build. The tool handles the technical part and you handle the part only you know, which is what the app is for and whether it’s working properly.
That doesn’t mean everything comes out perfect on the first try. Something comes out, and you keep correcting it. This site exists to make that path shorter.
Where should you start?
Your first app in 30 minutes
From signing up for a tool to a link you can send to someone. Step by step, nothing skipped.
Ready-made prompts to copy
Requests written the way AI tools understand best, grouped by what you want to do.
Something went wrong. Now what?
The most common stumbles and the exact text to paste into the AI to ask for a fix.
Glossary
Deploy, database, API. The words you’ll run into along the way, explained without jargon.
Which errors scare beginners the most?
- My app shows a blank screen. What do I do?
- I clicked the button and nothing happened. Why?
- The AI says it fixed it, but the error is still there. Now what?
- My data disappeared when I reloaded the page. Why?
Which words are worth knowing first?
- Database: The place where the app stores information in an organized way, like customers, orders or tasks, so it's still there later and can be seen from other devices.
- Deploy: Putting the app online, at an internet address other people can open. In vibecoding tools, it's usually the "Publish" button.
- Front-end: The part of the app that people see and touch, like screens, buttons, text and forms. It runs in the browser of whoever is using it.
- Prompt: The request or instruction you write for the artificial intelligence. In vibecoding, every message you send to the tool is a prompt.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to know how to code to do vibecoding?
Not to get started. You describe what you want in plain language and the tool writes the code. Knowing a little helps as the app grows, and you pick it up along the way.
Is it free?
The tools mentioned here have free plans with usage limits, which are enough for a small first app. For bigger projects they charge a subscription. Check prices on each tool’s official site, because they change often.
What kind of app can I build?
Starting from zero, the easiest is an app that runs in the browser: a to-do list, a catalog, a booking page, a calculator for your business. Apps that handle payments or sensitive data need more care and, usually, help from someone who codes.
Do I own the app?
The tools let you download the code or move it to GitHub, so you’re not locked in. Read the terms of use of the tool you choose for the details.
